I have got a similar quesion. Im using linux and the terminal shows up the same chipset information like the user above has with his windows os:
Do i have a 943 or a 940 chipset or even a 945? Its a nx7300 with a celeron m440 installed, but the system info says, 4gb of ram can be max installed. i read somewere else, that only the 945 chipset allows it and that in nx7300 laptops with a celeron only a 943 or 940 is installed, that maximal support 2gb of ram.
So the combination of my mainboard and cpu is really strange (i bought it new neraly 10 years ago, so it came original in this combination).
I want to upgrade my cpu and it would be usefull to know, if the mainbord has a 943 or 940 chipset (or even a 945).
