Product: HP Pavilion G6 2102tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Please suggest if 2 nos of 4gb RAM [part number: 641369-001 (4GB, 1600Mhz, PC3L-12800 memory module (SHARED)] 

can be installed in my HP G6 2102tx model which has come with stock 2GB RAM [par number: 652972-001 (SPS-MEM 2GB PC3 12800 1600Mhz SHARED Memory (DIMM)].

 

If yes, what can I do if the mentioned 4GB RAM is not available to purchase. Part surfer says there are no functional equivalents. Please help me. I am from India

You can get two 4gb DDR3 1600MHz PC3-12800 1.5V SO-DIMM SDRAM. Crucial, Samsung, Hynix are good brands.

Crucial offers online scanner and recommend guaranteed compatible parts.

Search the part through online stores in your country.
