HP pavilion ce1001tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I wanted to upgrade RAM in laptop to 16GB RAM and was wondering what type of RAM will be compatible? Someone told me that there's a difference between SODIMM and SDRAM. So I was wondering whether this RAM will be compatible with my current machine:

https://www.crucial.in/memory/ddr4/ct16g4sfd824a

(Same model just USA and India links separately)
If this is not compatible, what models can I look for?

Hello @Harshvardhan10

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Your PC model supports RAM type DDR4-2400

with capacity of 4 , 8 or 16 GB ,    1.2 V

so the Crucial one you refer to above should work.

Hope this helps.
