RAM upgrade for laptop

Hi, so my cousin wants to upgrade his laptops RAM. Currently it has 4 GB RAM so he wants to add another 4 GB RAM stick, but I'm not sure what is the maximum RAM amount of this laptop or does it even have a slot for more RAM? He lives in another country so I can't physically help him, but if someone could find more info about the laptop then next time I visit him I could help him upgrade his laptops RAM 🙂  Also I need to know what type of SODIM is it DDR3 or DDR4 and what frequency RAM the current RAM stick has. How old the Laptop is?  What is the configuration of the Laptop ( Available under Windows Settings).

According to the product specs for that model, it comes with 1 x 8 GB of memory.

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

The notebook has two memory slots and can support another 8 GB memory chip for a total of 16 GB.

The 12 GB maximum listed in the service manual is incorrect.

Chapter 5 has the memory removal and replacement procedure.
