Hi I bought a couple of RAM modules (these ones) and when I put them in my laptop it won't boot, instead I get 3 white light blinks in the power button.
I tried taking them off and on again, switching slots, but nothing happens. I could make it work (sometimes) by putting one new module (16gb) and leaving one old module (8gb), obtaining 24gb from different vendors.
How can I know if the memories are not supported by the laptop? is there a way to fix?
Thanks!

The way to know if memory is compatible is by contacting the memory seller or manufacturer (Corsair) and requesting guaranteed compatible memory for your notebook.
Unfortunately, there is no specification as to which modules are compatible in the Maintenance & Service guide for your notebook. https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-15-f1000-laptop-pc-series/29322771/model/37919672/manuals
Crucial Memory does make guaranteed compatible memory modules for your notebook.

According to the Crucial memory website compatibility tool, the modules you bought are not compatible with your notebook. The tool shows the Corsair modules at the link below as being compatible with the 15s-fq1000 model series.

I chatted with a Corsair Expert online. This was what he said. So even if their own website tool says memory is compatible, Corsair won't guarantee it. In my book that means time wasted as it could be a gamble with your money and probably no refund if it does not work in your notebook.

hi
16 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (2 x 8 GB) |
so change it
DDR4 SODIMM 3200MHz
https://support.hp.com/hk-en/product/hp-15-f1000-laptop-pc-series/29322771/model/37919672/manuals
the hp manual is not the right one so difficult to find out more
from what you say it doesn't work at all?
or with only one of the two it works?
[edit]
also check what is already in place, and choose modules closest to what you have, this can help, in addition to the crucial site!
