Pavilion DV7 Notebook PC

Hi everyone, 

I own a Pavilion DV7 Notebook PC.  The mainboard is a QUANTA-3624 and the CPU: Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo P8800 @ 2.66GHz Penryn 45nm Technology. My installed RAM is 4 Gb.  After finishing a diagnostic test (Piriform Speccy) I saw that the installed type of RAM is DDR3.  After reading in some topics on the web I have a question. Does this type of mainboard support DDR3 RAM or only DDR2?  I am asking you because I want to upgrade RAM to 8 Gb or maybe more.  Could this be possible?

You need to know what is your Pavilion DV7 first because there are few generations around. Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:
