Hello BogdanPislariu.
Unfortunately the RAM industry had shifted to the cheaper 1Rx8 16GB and the 1Rx16 8GB DDR4 modules even before the final stage of the phasing out of the older memory (DDR4) -now replaced by DDR5. This easier to produce chip organization is not always compatible with HP laptops. For the 2020-2021 models it will usually be OK (albeit slower than the more expensive 2Rx8 16GB and 1Rx8 8GB equivalent modules) BUT sometimes even these models have various issues with them. The Crucial 2400 chip will definitely be 1Rx8 since this is an old RAM module. Running an incompatible RAM module together with a compatible one has been known to iron out any problems, since the memory controller finds the (s)lowest common denominator for the two modules and the combination works well -at lower speeds.
Crucial has completely removed the chip organization description from its DDR4 modules, but even with Samsung -where all the specs are available- it's difficult to find 2Rx8 16GB modules nowadays. On this forum we have found a workaround by recommending the Timetec DDR4 modules that are also usually better priced.
