HP Pavilion x360 14-cd1060tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Currently, my notebook has 8GB (2400MHz) of RAM. I want to upgrade to 16GB 2666mhz or 32GB 2666mhz. My doubt is that should go with the same MHz or upgrading to 3200MHz module will be fine and won't cause any issue.Whats is my maximum ram can handle? 16GB or 32GB?

thanks in advanced

Hi:

The maximum memory your PC can take is 2 x 8 GB.

Speed...your notebook's processor can only run the memory at the fastest speed of 2400 MHz.

DDR4-2666 or 3200 MHz memory should work just fine, but it will bridge to 2400 Mhz.

You may want to consider installing faster memory if you plan to use it in a newer notebook someday that can run the faster speed memory at its advertised rate.
