Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade my RAM from 4gb. My one slot is empty. Will I have to upgrade to 8gb or 12gb

The specs of your machine is

It has   4 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) now and supports 16GB max. You have few RAM upgrade options

 

(a) to 8GB: add 4GB to slot 2

(b) to 12GB: add 8GB to slot 2  (not recommended)

(c) to 16GB: install 8GB each to BOTH slots.

 

You can use following RAM, they will run at 2133MHz

 

   4GB:    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/hp-15-be012tu/CT10600926

   8GB:    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/hp-15-be012tu/CT10600911
