Product: HP Laptop 14s-cf3xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Currently have 4gb RAM i would like to upgrade it, what are my choices and compatibility. 

From my research i also learned that this latpop has a 2 memory slot and is only currently using 1 if i am not mistaken, i plan to buy another 4gb RAM, or 8GB depending on the price.

I have Hp245 G7 laptop. The documented specs say it has 2 RAM slots and one 4GB stick is installed. However when I opened the laptop to reconfirm, I found that the second RAM slot was having only pinouts on board but no socket or retention clips present on the board to actually install the RAM stick.

 

Get it touch with the HP service center to get your RAM upgraded and let them take the ownership. Most of the times the documented information on vendor site can not simply be relied upon.
