Hi! I`ve got OMEN by HP Laptop PC - 17-w033dx with i7-6700HQ and 4+8 Gb DDR4 2133 RAM. Max RAM from manual is 8+8 Gb. But here they say it is possible to install 16+16 Gb ("Two SODIMM slots, not customer accessible or upgradable" - from manual). Chipset Intel HM170 works with such value and win10 pro too. Will it really work and what memory is it better to choose (frequency, latency)? Thank you!

Hi:
Yes, you should be able to install 2 x 16 GB of memory in your notebook.
I recommend you get this kit if you can get it in Thailand:
Crucial 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT2K16G4SFD824A | Crucial.com
The DDR4-2400 memory will automatically bridge to 2133 MHz because that is as fast as your notebook's processor can run the memory at.
You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

You're very welcome.
Based on all of the info I found and the report you ran, 32 GB of memory should work just fine.'
Below is the link to the service manual.
