Hi:

 

Notebooks with the Celeron N4120 processors have one memory slot and can support up to 1 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 memory, but it appears that HP installed a DDR4-2666 MHz memory chip in there.

 

Installing faster memory than 2400 MHz is fine, but it will only run at a max speed of 2400 MHz.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

In order to upgrade the memory, you will need to remove the 4 GB memory chip and install an 8 GB memory chip in its place.
