Hi:

 

Chapter 1 of your notebook's service manual indicates that NVMe SSD's are supported.

There is a specific procedure you should follow before physically removing the Optane memory from the M.2 slot.

 

See the last two sections of this link for that information.

 

You disable the Intel Optane memory in the IRST software first, then disable it in the BIOS if your BIOS has such a setting.
