Product: HP 15s fq4xxx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
Hi, I would need to know which RAM model to buy to upgrade the RAM memory of my HP Laptop 15s-fq4xxx laptop

Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1155G7 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz

Motherboard: 89BC

Windows 64 bit

Right now it has 8Gb, which I was thinking of upgrading to 16 or 24 GB.

I have seen that it would be possible to increase it up to 64 GB, but I have not been able to find the number of ports that the computer has, nor what specific model of memory I should buy.

Thanks

Enrique P

There are 2 slots and it comes with 2 x 4 gig from the factory. You can confirm memory configuration and speed in task manager (ctrl-alt-delete) and hit the performance tab. You can confirm maximum memory as described here using the command line:

To find the maximum RAM capacity for a Windows computer using the command line, you can type the following command:
  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type cmd and press Enter
  3. Enter the command: wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices

This command will display the maximum number of KB and the number of RAM slots. Max is at least 32 gigs and may well be 64.

Your laptop uses DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM and Crucial is a good source.
