Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the notebook supports 2 x 8 GB of memory, so you may want to buy the 8 GB DDR4-3200 memory chip.

2 x 8 GB would perform slightly better than 1 x 16 GB because the 2 x 8 GB of memory will run in dual channel mode, and the 1 x 16 GB of memory will run in the lower performing single channel mode.

Once again...either of the 8 GB memory chips should work.

But the 8 GB part number I gave you is the equivalent DDR4-3200 memory chip that Crucial would have listed for your notebook if it offered that speed when they developed the report.

The memory they recommend is too expensive nowadays:

You can use either one.

The DDR4-3200 memory will automatically bridge to 2400 MHz and the DDR4-2400 memory is the speed that HP installed in your notebook.

The DDR4-2400 memory is more expensive.  That is the only major difference.
