HP 15S-EQ2185NW
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HI! I have a HP 15S-EQ2185NW laptop with ryzen 5 5500U and 8 gb ram. I want to upgrade my ram but i can't find the maximum ram (frequency and size) that supports. I found this pdf c06510442.pdf but on top it says for 15s-eq0xxx but my model is 15s-eq2xxx. So i don't know if this is for my model.

You're very welcome.

Your notebook comes with DDR4-3200 memory, so that is what you should use.

I suggest two of these if you want to max out the memory...

Hi:

Since HP does not have a service manual for your notebook, you can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

So, if you end up with a report that indicates 32 GB, you can install a 16 GB memory chip in both memory slots.

Thank you very much for your reply! It says 32gb. But what about the speed? I want to buy 3200 MHz but i am not sure for the compatibility.
