Paul, I ordered the ram upgrade.  They sent 2x 8 gb cards.  However there is only one slot.

Did they send the wrong item?

Recommendation please?

Hi:

 

The service manual indicates that there are two memory slots, and you indicated that your notebook has 6 GB of memory which means that there would be a 4 GB memory chip + a 2 GB memory chip.

 

So unfortunately, I don't know what the problem could be.

 

The service manual must be incorrect or was incomplete.

 

Chapter 5, page 32 shows two memory slots in the illustration.

 

If you can return the memory, you can order a single 8 GB memory chip instead.
