Hello,
I would like to find an 8GB Ram for my laptop HP Stream Laptop 14-cb172wm (Windows 11 Home), SN# [personal info removed]. Please could you provide me the correct product details of the Ram so I can look it up on Amazon and purchase. Thank you.

Hi:
The Crucial memory report for your notebook indicates the memory is non-removable.

However, the parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with a removable 4 GB memory chip.
Since the service manual on your notebook's support page is of absolutely no help, since it lists a different model notebook that uses DDR3L-1600 memory...

The Intel specs for your notebook's processor indicates that it should support 1 x 8 GB of memory.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the Crucial 8 GB memory chip that might work.
You may want to buy it on Amazon where hopefully you can return it if it doesn't work.

The Stream notebook I am working on belongs to an 88-year-old lady at or church who uses it for email and some shopping (Amazon). She has satellite internet service. The combination of the internet speed and notebook speed is perhaps worse than dial up used to be. So, I am just trying to improve her user experience a bit.
Thank you for your suggestion, I'll give it a try.
