Ram and driver issues

I am using windows 10 build 1809 and when my laptop is idle windows uses 60% of my 4gb ddr4 ram. So i wanted to downgrade to windows 8.1 but i can not get the dispaly dirvers to work with it so the screen is very dim. I was wondering if I could get any drivers that work with windows 8.1 but i would prefur to use windows 10 please can sombody tell me why windows 10 is using so much ram becuase at the moment i can not use my laptop becuase of this issue.

Hi,

That is a normal amount for Windows to use when you only have 4GB of RAM.

What you can do is upgrade the RAM. Your PC supports up to 32GB of DDR4 2133Mhz RAM (2x16GB) even if service manual mentions 16GB.

There are two slots and at the moment you have one 4GB stick and one empty slot. So you could add another 4GB stick in the empty slot. You can buy RAM from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Corsair...

I have another laptop with 4gb of ram on the same windows 10 build and it uses way less ram if I try to do anything even browse the internet it becomes unusable
