Hello I own a hp evny which has an i7 13700H and an rtx 4060 with 16 gigs of ram and 1tb storage and I was wondering if I can upgrade my ram and storage  (especially the ram as I find 16 gigs not enough for my tasks)

Yes there is no limit on the size of NVME M.2 SSD you can install. 4 TB disks are pretty widely sold. Memory max will be at least 32 gigs and more likely 64. You can check from the command line by running this prompt:

wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and press Enter. The result displayed will be the maximum RAM capacity in kilobytes. To convert this value to gigabytes, divide the number by 1,048,576 (which is 1024 x 1024). For example, a result of 33,554,432 KB would equate to 32 GB of maximum supported RAM.

If we had the model number we could provide specific upgrade instructions.

Thank you for the reply.

I was also wondering if the 16 gigs currently on my laptop is in the form of 2 8gb sticks or 1 16gb stick and also if its 2 8gb sticks  whether upgrading one stick from 8gigs to 16 or 32 ie resulting in 24 gigs or 40 gigs would effect my laptop in any bad way while using ram from the same company and same type of ram but different size.

Same answer we need your specific model number to answer. Its not impossible the memory is soldered to the motherboard and not upgradeable, for example and that depends on the exact model. Use these instructions to find it:

https://www.hp.com/hk-en/shop/tech-takes/post/how-to-find-your-hp-laptop-model-number

In the meantime you can find out a lot about your memory using these instructions:

Although if the memory is soldered on it will give off some strange information using these prompts.
