Ram card for HP Pavilion 15-cs3020ca

Hello,

What is the maximum RAM supported by the HP Pavilion 15-cs3020ca ?

It comes by default with 8GB of RAM but I am thinking upgrading it, after a while, to 16/32/64 or more, if supported (I am thinking to buy it so I cannot run any diagnostics on such model now 🙂 ). Do I have 2 slots ? Can I add a 32 GB in the empty slot , so I will have 8 + 32 ? 

I couldn't find anywhere such information or a service manual or referenced on crucial.com.

Hi:

Unfortunately, no one will be able to provide that information unless someone else reads your post and can confirm the notebook can support more than 2 x 8 GB of DDR4 memory.

That is because HP only has the service manual for the older 15-cs2xxx model series on the support page.

Probably it will support up to 2 x 16 GB of DDR4 memory, but if you decide to purchase the notebook you will have to run the max memory capacity check to confirm.

The Crucial memory report indicates it can support up to 2 x 32 GB of memory, but I think the report you run will only indicate 2 x 16 GB.

And to supplement/second @Paul_Tikkanen's response: your HP Pavilion 15-cs3020ca (7YZ64UA) as per: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=7YZ64UA, is fitted with HP (p/n): L67288-601 ("MOTHERBOARD UMA i7-1065G7 WIN"), which according to: https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/1185480, has motherboard SSID: 86E3 fitted with the Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor.

Now, when we look at actual HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cs3xxx User performance benchmarks here: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-Pavilion-Laptop-15-cs3xxx/159654, I do not see any HP Pavilion Laptop 15-cs3xxx laptops being fitted with more than 2 x 16GB of DDR4.

Mind you, not all RAM fitted in these laptops from these Users will/is capable to run at 3200 MHz.
