One of the RAM slots on my HP 250 g8 Notebook laptop is not working, preventing me from upgrading to 16GB RAM. The other slot functions properly. Please assist in resolving this issue.
( story: I bought a crucial RAM of 8 GB 3200 MHz to upgrade my PC. I added that RAM myself and worked fine for 2 weeks, but suddenly one day my PC crashed with that blue screen you know, and trying to restart. I switched it off anyhow and tried multiple times, but the screen is black nothing showing. Then I opened my laptop and switched the RAM, but it was still not solved. then put each RAM one by one in both slots and check if the RAM slot may be defective.
I found that the slot that was installed with the inbuilt RAM that came with the PC has stopped working. The other slot was working fine, luckily. I tried cleaning and blowing air into the slot, hoping it might fix the issue, but nothing worked. It is still not working, and my PC is running on only one kidney (RAM). I want to upgrade. )
