Ram upgarde on HP 15s-eq2144AU

i have purchased a new laptop recently and if i upgrade my ram from 8GB to 16GB will it void my warranty of laptop

Chapter 5 of the service manual on your notebook's user guides support page indicates that installing SSD's or memory should be performed by an authorized service center.

Off the record, many folks that want to upgrade parts in their notebooks do it anyway, but with the understanding that if they break something during the process, they are out of luck.  That's the risk one takes.

Do note however, that if your notebook ever needs warranty work, you must return the notebook to its original hardware configuration before sending it in for service.
