Hi HP, I really wanted to upgrade my RAM but im not really sure if my notebook can support upto 16gb with 2400mhz RAM.

From p. 2 of the Service manual:

 

Memory
Two SODIMM memory module slots, non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable
Supports up to 16-GB of system memory
DDR4-2133 channel support (DDR4-2400 downgrade to DDR4-2133)
 
 
Pages 37-42 show "how to". 
 
Your laptop actually could support 2 x 16 gig modules of DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM:
 
Fom this link you can buy 32 or 16 gig kits:

Hi Huffer, thanks for the response. Would there be any compatibility issues if I purchase other brands on the market? ie: ADATA, Kigston, etc...

No not at all as long as you get the right speed and kind of RAM.
