Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good evening team,

I am willing to upgrade RAM on my laptop and am taking suggestions whether the new piece should be the same mhz. or higher. Some reviews I read specify that it came with 2 slots, though my device was never opened to be completely sure. On the HP Assistant it says that it currently has this ram installed:

Slot 1: 8GB A-DATA Technology 2400MHz

Should I buy exactly the same model so there is less chance of failure?

Thanks in advance for the help and ideas.

(b) To 24GB: add 16GB more to slot 2 using compatible RAM:

(c) To 32GB: Install 16GB each to both slots using following compatible RAM

https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd8266/ct14555044    (RAM would run at 2400MHz)
