Product: Hp victus fb0146AX

I brought HP Victus fb0146AX ( Ryzen 5 5600h and Dgpu RX6500m) comes with 4GB+4GB dual channel  8GB ram. I want to upgrade Ram so can i buy 1stick of 8Gb RAM and combine with one stick 4GB ram to make 12GB dual channel ram. Also can I buy 16GB ram and combine with 1 preinstalled 4GB ram to make is 20GB?.

 

Do these ram combination supported by this laptop?

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade info.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

According to the manual, the notebook will support an 8 GB memory chip plus a 4 GB memory chip but note that the memory will only run in single channel mode since the capacities are not matching in both slots.
