Hello team,
I want to upgrade the RAM of my HP Pavilion 15 n003tx laptop. The default installed RAM is 4 GB. My operating system is Windows 8.
Which model should I buy to upgrade the RAM to 8 GB. Should I buy the model no. 691740-001 listed below:
Will the laptop support the above part.
Please help on the above.
Thanks

Hi Kiresh Shivkar,
Your PC supports max 16GB of DDR3L 1600Mhz (2x8GB)
You can buy RAM of your preferred brand, so, yes the RAM you linked will work. You can insert the 4GB stick in the empty slot for a total of 8GB.
Hope it helps,
David

The price of that RAM is $4000!
Go to Crucial's website and enter your PC model # into its advisor. Almost certainly you will find RAM that works for you.
By the way, that stylized 'M' on the Amazon RAM means that it's from Micron. Crucial is the retail arm of Micron.

Thank you for your reply David.
One more question, the RAM in my laptop appears to have "1Rx8 PC3L 12800S' whereas the RAM listed has "2Rx8 PC3L 12800S".
Will that make any difference - 1Rx8 vs 2Rx8? Will 2Rx8 be compatible with my laptop?
Thanks

Hi, your welcome,
1xR is single rank and 2xR is dual rank.
It should not be a problem to install that RAM however if possible I would go with 1xR RAM and there is even cheaper RAM on the Amazon India website.
Hope it helps,
David
