Hi,
Wondering if I can upgrade from 8gb to 16gb on my laptop, as I've been running into limits with 8gb.
- product #: n1r85uar#aba
- serial #: [edited]
I ran `wmic memorychip get` and `wmic memphysical get`. Both commands print empty for the column "Replaceable". Does that mean it's not replaceable and soldered to the motherboard?
This site seems to think it's possible: https://www.mrmemory.co.uk/memory-ram-upgrades/hp/spectre/13-4103dx-x360
If they're correct, will this RAM work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JGSPGGZ/?tag=atechmemory-20
Thanks!
-John

According to page 2 of HP Spectre x360 Convertible PC (model numbers 13-4000 through 4099 and 13-4100 through 4199) and HP ... it supports LPDDR3-1600 dual channel in 4GB or 8GB configurations. The memory chip is soldered on system board and not user upgradable. As you can see from page 27-49, there is no mention of memory removal and replacement procedure.
By the way, LPDDR3 is lower power chip meant for mobile devices (phones, tablets, ultrabooks, Macbook Air, SBCs) and is quite different from DDR3L RAM. There is an entry on eBay.com and it requires surface mount soldering.
Even crucial.com does not commit to any RAM upgrade. I think mrmemory made a mistake in their offering.
