If you planned on installing a second 16 GB memory chip in the future, I would go with the 20 GB configuration.

The memory will run in single channel mode instead of dual channel mode.

It would be difficult to measure the difference.

Subjectively I would say the performance decrease would be slight.

This is a good video to watch regarding the difference between single and dual channel performance:

How bad could be to make a combination of one of the 4gb of ram from the device with one stick of 16gb of 3200 (20gb total)? Compared to a replacement of both 4gb sticks with two 8 gb sticks(16gb total).

I wont plan on upgrading to 32gb so i opted for buying the 8+8 to ensure minimal **bleep**ery while setting it up. Anyways, thanks for your assistance!.
