Hello, I would like to know if I can upgrade my Pavilion Dv6000 (sticker dv6226us) from 1gb ram to 2gb ram and if so I need to know what kinda ram.

Here is a description of the RAM for the upgrade you asked for.

For a 2GB upgrade you will need two of these. You will have to search online for a source.

Both are guaranteed compatible.
The first by the manufacturer and the second by the vendor.
I would go with the vendor.

no-name knock off brands are a non starter for me.
I do not waste my time or $$ with them.
Stick with the mainstream memory brands.
