  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • Did you check the specifications of your computer?
  • Or look for your user guides for details?

I have checked the specifications of your laptop and your laptop can support up to 16GB of memory.

 

And it can support the memory in the following configuration.

 

16-GB (8-GB × 2)
12-GB (8-GB + 4-GB)
8-GB (8-GB × 1 or 4-GB × 2)
