Product: Pavilion au-111tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to upgrade memory to 16gb. Currently I have sk hynix 8gb ddr4 2133hz ram. Should I buy same configuration ram or can I buy a little higher configuration ra? I don't know about the compatibility of ram and how it will affect the performance. 

Also, where should I purchase ?

Please guide

Is it an HP Pavilion - 15-au111tx ? Its specs:

It has  8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (1 x  8GB) on slot 1 now. You can add SAME SK Hynix (better) 8GB RAM to slot 2 to have 16GB or you can use

 

    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/pavilion-15-au111tx/CT10613959

 

it will run at 2133MHz automatically. Higher speed with be downgraded automatically. Crucial RAM is very popular, you can buy at any good computer shops.

Hi,

Max RAM for your notebook is 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz (2x16GB) even if service manual mentions 16GB

There are two slots and at the moment you have one 8GB module and one empty slot. The RAM will run at 2133MHz.
