Hi,
I am trying to upgrade my ram from 8 GB (2 * 4GB) to 16 GB (2*8GB) or 12 GB (1 * 4GB and 1 * 8GB) but no one combination is working for me. For RAM i used HP device supported RAM from crucial.
Details found below:
Laptop Model Number : HP 14s-dq2535TU
OS : Ubuntu 22.04
RAM I am using : https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct8g4sfra32a/ct20541541
Suggested at here : https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-14s-dq2535tu#memory
When i put any of above combination, my laptop is not turning on and light in my caps lock is blinking.
Please help.

The upgrade should be removal of the original memory module(s) and installation of a pair of identical guaranteed compatible memory modules.
If you are mixing the original module with the new one is probably what is causing the issue.

Ah. No. You made no mention of that. Read what you wrote.
It was not so clear.
Are the two memory modules guaranteed compatible?
I suggest contacting the vendor you purchased them from to get replacement modules. One of them may be faulty.
Have you tried the modules one at a time in the same SoDIMM slot?

"No i don't try one at a time."
You should do that.
It is a troubleshooting method to determine if one or the other is faulty.
