Pavilion g6 - 1a75dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a hp pavilion g6 which has 2 slots of ram with 2x2gb ram in it.

I want to upgrade it to 6gb by replacing one of it with a 4gb one.

Is it possible , If yes which one should I take ?

I know this is an old model but it is the only one I have at present and it works quite well but it is slow.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Here is the maintenance guide for your model:

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02770268

On page 53 (lables as page 45) you ahve some options for RAM:

Description Spare part number
4 GB PC3 10600 1333 MHz shared part number: 621569-001
2 GB PC3 10600 MHz part number: 581096-001
1 GB PC3 10600 1333 MHz shared part number: 639738-001

You could google the part numbers and see if you're able to find any online retailers that sell these.

Personally, I am aware a specific company called EET EUROPARTS might have them in stock but keep in mind RAm memory has spiked in price within these past couple years.

Cheers
