Is there a way or link I could get to upgrade the ram on my device. Is it even possible to upgrade the ram on my laptop to something like 8gb or 16gb?

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

HP Notebook PC (AMD) * Models: 14-an0XX * Models: 14-as0XX * Models: 14-au0XX * Models: 14z-an000HP ...

 

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.   According to the manual, the memory is not upgradable because your notebook is one of those that comes with an eMMC drive.

 

However this discussion indicates that the memory is upgradeable to 16 GB (2 x 8 GB).

 

Solved: Hp 14-an012nr Ram - HP Support Community - 6209139

 

The memory will only run in single channel mode because that is what chapter 1 of the service manual indicates for notebooks with removable memory.

 

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory module.

Is there a link or a specific model for the 16gb I can look for? I'm not the best at computer components, it'll be much appreciated if you could provide one of the two options please
