I am trying to upgrade the ram in my laptop. Current ram is DDR4 sodimm Samsung 4gb K056000334191517B3 I purchased vengeance sodimm DDR4 16gb. I only have one available slot when I installed the new ram I just get the power light and the caps key blinking nothing else. Why isn’t this ram working? If it isn’t compatible what ram would you suggest? TIA

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!
The maximum RAM your HP Laptop 14-cf2112wm (5T9T7UA) can handle is one 8GB DDR4 PC4-19200, 2400 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM stick:
Also confirmed here, btw.
In addition -and trust me on this, many HP computers are not particularly happy aka compatible with Corsair Vengeance RAM.
I would suggest this 8GB RAM module via Amazon.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,

Hi, @MArgo96
You may be able to install a 16 GB memory chip in your notebook based on the info in this discussion, but as NonSequitur777 indicated, you should avoid using performance memory in a notebook like yours. It almost always never works.
