Xronia Polla file!
Depends. Swapping one module for a larger capacity one pretty much changes nothing. Adding a second module doubles the total power used by the system's RAM. However, as seen in this Crucial faq , the amount of energy needed by RAM modules is relatively small. Also, when in idle state, DDR4 sodimms spend their time in lower frequencies and therefore waste even less power. To be honest, RAM is not really something that runs down your battery. In fact, having lots of it makes the system run better, the more power-hungry storage is rarely used for paging, so it's definitely something one should go for!
Take care!

If this were my system, I'd go straight for a 2x16GB kit. Crucial offers the CT2K16G4SFD824A kit with guaranteed compatibility, as seen on the Crucial page for your laptop.
Have fun upgrading!
