Hi everyone!
I have an HP Laptop 15s-du3592TU with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU and 8GB of RAM (2×4GB Samsung DDR4-3200).
I'd like to upgrade the RAM, but I'm getting mixed information.
HP’s official spec sheet says the maximum supported RAM is 16GB, but some people say it can handle 32GB (2×16GB).
Does anyone here have this exact model or similar (15s-du3xxx series) and successfully upgraded to 32GB RAM?
Also, will it run at full speed (DDR4-3200) and dual channel?
Any confirmed experiences or recommendations would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

@Bacon1112, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding RAM Upgrade for HP Laptop 15s-du3592TU!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The HP Laptop 15s-du3592TU, with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 CPU and originally equipped with 8GB of RAM, has official specifications stating that it supports a maximum of 16GB of RAM. This typically means you could upgrade using two sticks of 8GB DDR4-3200 RAM to achieve this maximum.
However, some users report successfully upgrading to 32GB of RAM using two sticks of 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM. While such upgrades can be successful, it is important to remember that the effective performance may depend on other factors such as BIOS settings or motherboard limitations.
Regarding speed and dual-channel operation:
- Speed: The RAM should operate at its rated DDR4-3200 speed, provided the motherboard and CPU support this speed.
- Dual Channel: If installed in matching pairs, the system should operate in dual-channel mode, which benefits system performance.
To ensure compatibility and optimal functionality, checking with HP's support or using RAM from known compatible brands can provide assurance. Users who have successfully completed this upgrade might not face issues; nonetheless, relying on official specifications is generally recommended unless there are verified instances from different users.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
