The past few days when the laptop is being used plugged in, the power/charging light goes out and it switches to running off the battery. Everything is tightly secured, and there doesn't appear to be any damage to the adapter or chord. Disconnecting the power supply on either end, or fiddling with it (in case something was loose or shorting out), restarting, or shutting down the laptop plugged or unplugged doesn't seem to make any difference, the light doesn't seem to go back on based on anything I'm doing. So far it will eventually start charging again at some point, but it's anyone's guess when or why, which doesn't make for the most pleasant or reliable user experience, as I'm having to not use it because I don't want to run the battery dead. It passes the battery test, and the adapter test when the adapter is being identified (otherwise it auto fails acting like it's just not plugged in). Unfortunately, I don't have another power adapter to try, and the seeming lack of consistency of the problem makes it difficult to know how to proceed.
