Lately, I've been hearing what I think is a rattling noise coming from inside my PC sort of on the left. The laptop is only 2 months old, so I may have bumped it on something. When I looked up my problem some people said it was an issue with the fan. This makes sense, but since I have a laptop it's obviously not as simple (for me at least) as just opening the case and fixing it. Is this issue typically caused by a fan?

Thank you for joining HP Forums.
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
As I understand there's a rattling noise coming from inside the laptop,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you attempt to update the BIOS?
Have you cleaned the notebook to ensure there's no dust?
While you respond to that, I have a few recommendations:
-
Updating your Notebook computer BIOS
-
Keeping notebook air vents clear and clean
-
Increasing the efficiency of the notebook to reduce heat
-
Using Windows Task Manager to identify corrupt processes
-
Selecting power saves settings to shut off your computer when it is not in use

Do get back to me as I have a few more tricks up my sleeve,
