Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Paul_Tikkanen, I seem to have exactly the same card than hopperdoodle, mounted on a brand new HP - 15-da1021nf.

I want to upgrade it to 802.11ac and you said to him there is only the Realtek RTL8821CE which might be compatible. Is this the same case for me ?

I ask this because I have found an intel card (Intel Wireless-AC 926), at low price in my country, which seem to be the same m2 connector, is this has a chance to work ?

Thank you in advance and sorry for my english.

Hi:

The Intel 9260 AC won't work because that card needs two wifi antenna cables connected to it, and your notebook only has one.

The  RTL8821CE  AC card works with only one antenna cable.

Intel also makes a wifi card that works with only one antenna cable, but I don't know if it will work in your model.

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

The other supported dual band AC cards listed other than the RTL 8821 all need two antenna cables.

Wow thank for the rapidity of your reply.

So ok, I now understand how it won't work,

So can you confirm, if I found an RTL8821, i just have to uninstall my driver, swap the cards, install the driver of the new one, and this is supposed to work ?

Thank you

You're very welcome.

Exactly.

Here are the links to the latest W10 wifi and Bluetooth drivers for that 8821CE...

The only place I have been able to find that model card is on eBay.

HP has it on back order and it has been that way for a long time.

However, you can check if you can get it from HP at the link below.   Change the country location at the top right.

The service manual has the part number...chapter 3.
