I also have the Envy X360 Ryzen5 2500U.  Its been back to HP to no avail.  But they did give me an USB stick with reinstall software on.  I have done that several times. Its tricky not to delete the D drive with data on. Maybe I should copy every thing off and do a complete clean install again. Some people have disabled any thing that uses the AMD graphics. That sort of works but you can buy a £99 chrome book thats 100 times better. There is a program on the AMD web site that deletes OEM drivers before installing the AMD drivers. That might work but its nearly imposible to get a good working machine as reinstall windows with out getting a BSOD crash is nearly imposible.. My thinking is it only takes one bad crash to mess things up. AMD and HP seemed to have taked about the problem as the 2500U drivers appeared on the AMD site. Basially the machine is the same as the pre launch ones that crashed and HP just hopes the problem will go away. All the hardware tests are ok. Some machines were  fauty its worth starting up in test mode and running the tests.  " Thread stuck in device driver" and  "clock watchdog timeout" are the main BSODs. Mine frezes about 30 seconds after starting most starts, taking 3 starts and disk scans to get going. Then occsionally in use once every few weeks. to add to the excitement one of the over tight hinges broke off the mounting on the left side of the lid. Its a simple repair. The problem is lubricating the hinges and retensioning them correctly. I am running them a little lose until bedded in then will retighten indevidually.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is freezing.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you run a system test on the computer following the steps in the below article to make sure whether the issue is software or hardware related.
