Hi bro, I want to ask, my laptop 14-d3000 in task manager shows ram slot 2, but when I upgraded the ram myself before I didn't see the location of the other ram slot.

Is it the Windows task manager that detected it incorrectly or am I not careful enough to find it?

Hi:

What model Intel processor does it have?

The models with the Intel Pentium and Celeron processors only have one memory slot.

There may be circuitry for a second memory chip, but no slot or retaining clips.

That is probably what the task manager is picking up if your notebook has one of those processors.

Intel Pentium Silver N6000

Yes, that processor would only come with one memory slot, but it should support 1 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 CL22 memory.

See the Intel processor specs:

Yes, coincidentally the RAM I installed has specifications like this:

Model: DA Drive SO-DIMM DDR4

Modul Type: 260 Pin Small Outline DIMM

Capacity: 16GB

Frequency: 3.200 MHz

Data Transfer / Bandwith: 25.600 MB/s / PC4 25.600

Voltage: 1.2V

Latency: CL-22-22-22-52

Dimension: 67.6 (H) x 30 (L) mm

These specifications correspond to the laptop's default RAM which has a specification of 1Rx16 PC4-3200AA-SCO-11 of 4GB.

OK, then you did good maxing out the memory to 16 GB (unless you bought two  ☹️).

Hihihi, actually at that time I almost bought 2 RAM slots of 16gb🤭

But, in the end it didn't happen, because at that time I wasn't sure because I hadn't opened the lid yet😀

That's great news.
