Hello Paul.

As you seemed to know your stuff, I wanted to ask if you might know how to change the RAM speed, please?
I got a good deal on 2x8GB Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz but after installing, the speed has not changed - and as much as I've searched for an answer, I just can't work out how to change any settings, if that's what I need to do.

I did run the Crucial system scan and tells me that I can run the RAM at 3200mhz ...

Thank you!
Dave

PS: I'm running Windows 10 - and I'm now wondering if I could put 32GB 3200mhz in it?!

Hi, Dave:

None of the processors offered in the 820 G3 model series can run the memory faster than 2133 MHz.

Oh dear!

Then the Crucial system scan is lying ... ?!

Thank you Paul.

All the best.

You're very welcome, Dave

DDR4-3200 memory will work fine, but only at 2133 MHz.

DDR4-2133 is very hard to find and DDR4-2400 memory is getting expensive.

Most folks are going with DDR4-2666 and DDR4-3200 memory in notebooks like the 820 G3 because it works, and it probably costs less than the slower speed memory.
