Hello my HP 250 G6 model number is 3168NGW.
How many RAM slots are there? Do you suggest to install 8GB RAM or upgrade to SSD in order to get it working faster?
It's unbearable at present. When was this model released? I just purchased it 3 months ago.
Thanks!
@iomare wrote:Hi,
Your system supports max of 8GB DDR3L-1600 RAM Sodimm. There is only one slot so you will need to buy a 8GB stick of RAM.
On page 45-46 of service manual you can see the steps necessary to upgrade the RAM.

Hope it helps,

Hi:
The amount of memory you can install depends on what processor your 250 G6 has.
If it has a an Intel core processor (i3, i5...), it has two memory slots, and you can install 2 x 8 GB of memory.
If it has a Pentium or Celeron processor, there is one memory slot and you can install a max of 1 x 8 GB of memory.
I believe the 250 G6 came out last year.
I would upgrade both if you can swing it.
An SSD is very nice to have.
If you don't need a lot of drive space you can get a 240 GB one relatively cheap.
I have this model in a couple of my HP notebooks and desktop PC's. Works great in all of them.
