Would I be able to change the WiFi card to a newer version on the HP fq0028na.

 

Please advise.

Hi:

 

I'm doing fine and I hope that you are too.

 

I need to know which model fq0028na you have.

 

There is a 15s-fq0028na.  Is that the one?

 

It would be very difficult and not worth the trouble in my opinion to upgrade the Wi-Fi card because that would require you to order the dual antenna kit listed in chapter 3 of the service manual, completely disassemble the notebook including the display bezel in order to add a second antenna wire.  You can leave the original antenna wire installed.

Maybe doing a project like that wouldn't be a problem for you.

 

If you want to go through the work required to add the missing antenna wire, this card should work for your notebook:
