HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0008ca
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, my HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0008ca seems to be suffering from poor thermals. Because of this I want to clean the fans and the heatsink that is in my laptop, I also want to re-apply the thermal paste on my laptop. But the thing is, I'm not even sure if I can open up my laptop, as there isn't any obvious way to open it up. There doesn't seem to be any documentation of this laptop being opened up for adding more storage or for cleaning it.

So if anyone has anything that could help me, then thank you.

Hi,

Here is the service manual. On page 49 of service manual you can see the steps to remove the heat sink

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06155404.pdf

Remember to use quality thermal paste and clean off the old material.
