I have a  hp pavilion x360 14m-cd0006dx .  When running orangewindows 10 home.  It is connected to the charger and the charging light flashes amber.  The laptop appears dead.  When I press the power button, the power light light  white but the laptop does not boot.  The screen stays black (no backlight) and nothing happens.   Prolonged pressing of power button will turn it off (white light goes off).  Pressing the power button while holding the ESC key or F1 does the exact same thing and the computer does not show any sign of life except the flashing amber charging light and the white power light.

@Sdemarge Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the laptop will not turn on.

Please touch the power adapter(brick type) let me know is it warm or cold, when it is connected to power outlets.

Please attempt the below steps:

Perform a hard reset

Attempt a BIOS recovery

Run the System Diagnostics tests

The power brick was tepid.   The computer finally booted on its own after being unplugged for 12 hrs and being plugged again.   I will run a system diagnostic test.
