I have the same problem with my HP Pavilion 15z-aw000.  Not only has the keyboard bulged but has bulged to the point of cracking the keyboard at the top of the power button.  It will no longer close completely either.

This is not only a design flaw but a serious defect.

Hi @ladamsel

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

Have a great day!

LaDamsel - I'm so sorry to hear you have the same problem.  HP finally sent me a new battery but Best Buy wouldn't install it with the obvious toxic swelling under the keyboard.  Said it would be about $300 to  send it out to a 3rd party.  I bought a new ASUS laptop for less money,  I'm enjoined from saying anything negative about HP so I'll just say, "They're the greatest!"

HP did not want to take care of what appears to be a design defect.  I have always bought HP laptops but I have to say this will be my last.  I plan on purchasing a new laptop during the holiday sales and I guarantee you that it will NOT be a HP product.

I completely understand and concur.  I bought a laptop cooling pad for ~ $23 to stave off any overheating situation with my ASUS.  Happy with it.  https://www.amazon.com/TeckNet-Cooling-Portable-Powered-Notebook/dp/B016CL2DE6 .

Good luck and Happy Holidays!
