HP 15-DB0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have read several websites that give conflicting information about the maximum RAM that can be installed. Some say 8GB others say 16GB. The laptop has a single RAM slot. Does anyone have the definitive answer, please?

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade information.

Maintenance and Service Guide HP 15 Laptop PC

The amount of memory you can install depends on the model processor your notebook has.

Under the memory upgrade info:

Two memory module slots (Ryzen, A9 processors):

Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM

One memory module slot (E2/A4/A6 processors):

Supports up to 8 GB of system RAM
